My fascination with the human body continues to inspire me.  It is incredible how integrated the body’s systems are and the impact that massage can have on well-being.  I love educating my clients and using my skills to help people.  It makes my day seeing clients leave feeling better and in a more relaxed state.

I love educating my clients and using my skills to help people.

Primarily, I focus on therapeutic massage using myofascial release and relaxation massage techniques.

Myofascial release refers to the stretching and lengthening of the muscle and the connective tissue called fascia.  Fascial stretch is not painful, and my clients usually report a feeling of mild prickling in the tissues.  I am always impressed with the dramatic effects myofascial release can have on improving range of motion and decreasing pain.

I use these techniques to treat conditions like headaches, chronic pain, scar tissue from trauma or surgery, postural issues, TMJ dysfunction, and whiplash.

I promote relaxation treatments as an essential tool to promote well-being.  Whether you are dealing with everyday stress or more serious conditions like depression or PTSD, you may benefit from relaxation massage.  I have found that many of my clients experience a decrease in symptoms, as well as an overall improvement in mood.

One of my most memorable clients had a rare form of arthritis that had caused her lower spine to fuse.  She experienced a lot of pain and her breathing had become difficult due to postural changes, scar tissue formation, and inflammation. With techniques targeted to her problem areas, I was able to help her breathe easier, stand up straighter and experience less pain.  It brought me a great deal of joy to see her smile, knowing that she felt better.

I also provide pregnancy massage, hot stone massage, deep tissue, craniosacral therapy, Reiki therapy, and healing touch therapy.
