I am the receptionist at Lavallee Health Centre and am the first smiling face you will see when arriving for your appointment. Interacting with our clients is such a fun experience and I really enjoy working closely with the amazing team here. Everyone is knowledgeable and professional and, that helps me to become better at my job. It makes coming to work every day a joy when you have such a great work environment.
My primary focus is making sure everyone has a pleasant experience with us and that they are excited to come back again. I want to be sure that everyone’s visit is positive and that all questions and concerns are addressed with an acceptable outcome. As a team, we work together to ensure everything runs smoothly and I think we are doing a rather good job!

Clients can find me at the front desk, greeting them with a friendly smile, or somewhere around the clinic making sure things are clean and tidy. I’m always up for a quick chat while you’re waiting.
I know I’ve been successful when both the clients and my colleagues are happy, content, and feel valued. It makes me feel good when I can assist with problems or when the client is content because they’ve had a good experience with us. A smiling client at the end of their visit is always rewarding.
I have been fortunate to travel throughout the world teaching English as a second language for the last 20 years. Some of the places I have taught include Taiwan, Germany, and Slovakia. I have learned a great deal about communication and the importance of connecting with people. I am happy to be using those skills to assist the lovely people of the Ottawa Valley in their health care journey.
