Naturopathic Medicine

Naturopathic medicine is a health care practice that blends modern scientific knowledge with traditional and natural forms of healing. The aim of naturopathic medicine is to promote the natural healing powers of the body to treat the underlying cause of disease.

Naturopathic doctors (ND) are regulated primary health care providers who are trained in natural medicine. NDs diagnose and treat most health conditions, chronic and acute.

A Naturopathic Doctor will work in conjunction with other health care practitioners in creating the treatment plans for their patients.

An initial visit with an ND generally ranges from 60 to 120 minutes, where a detailed health history is gathered and steps are taken to identify the root cause of health concerns.

Visits are covered by most extended health-care plans.
